You’ve got this.
“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience."
- ELEANOR ROOSEVELT
MY STORY
6 years ago I was fully immersed in climbing the corporate ladder in my home country, the beautiful Spain. At the age of 25, I had everything I thought I ever wanted, a house, a permanent job, a personal trainer, yet I still longed for ‘more’ so I got on a plane and came to Australia on a holiday and I met my husband! After a whole year of long-distance I took a leap of faith and I moved down under.
To say that moving to Australia was a dream come true would be an utter lie. I mean…moving to a new country is exciting but nothing like what the movies tell you it’s going to be.
The first couple of years were challenging. Isolation, loneliness, lack of professional recognition and the culture shock can hit you hard, no matter how ready you think you are for the adventure. Eventually I became depressed, and I lost my enthusiasm for life.
